The brief

Catermat was founded in 2020, a week before the second Covid lockdown. Behind the brand stands EXPRESS DELI s.r.o. and a simple idea: a machine for taking care of company teams, with office catering, events, workshops and networking under one roof.

The website is meant to make ordering breakfast to the office second nature: order in the afternoon, and it is on your desk in the morning. Part of the offer is reserved for registered clients, though, and the orders themselves are handled by a separate e-shop, so the website has to connect the two.

We delivered the design and code of the entire website: a 3D team of superheroes instead of stock photos, a client zone with a catalogue of activities and venues, and a connection to the ordering system.

A short flythrough of the live site: the 3D superhero team and the catalogue of activities with filters, a part of the website that visitors without a client account never get to see.

The core business and the green pillar

Office catering takes the customer in three steps all the way to the e-shop at eorder.catermat.com. And sustainability is not a footnote: it has a section of its own, which the company keeps backing up on its blog.

Hydroponic herbs, composting, upcycling and the company’s own solar panels.

Superheroes instead of stock photos

The face of the website is a rendered 3D team: superheroes who take care of your catering and team building. Burgundy and lime hold the whole identity together, and the website works just as well on a phone as on the screen in the meeting room.

What else the website does

  • Client zone

The catalogues of activities and venues are visible only to logged-in customers. Catermat creates the accounts, so the offer of team building events and workshops stays where it belongs: with the clients.

  • Connection to the e-shop

The website sells, and the orders are handled by a separate system at eorder.catermat.com. Customers can reach it from any page with a single button.

  • Networking

A section of its own for the network of partners, suppliers and clients. Membership is part of the offer, not a footnote.

  • A blog in the client’s hands

Catermat publishes a new article every week, and editing runs in WordPress with no developer involved.

  • Enquiries and newsletter

A contact form with reCAPTCHA and a newsletter sign-up right in the footer. Anyone who does not like forms has the phone number and email in plain sight.

  • A cookie bar from our platform

Cookie consent is handled by a widget from platform.200solutions.com, set up in the website’s colours. One service we maintain for all our websites at once.

A machine for taking care of company teams now has a website that takes care of its customers.
