The brief

Three November days at the Prague Congress Centre, over a hundred selected schools and free entry for everyone. For the 31st edition the fair got a new shade: last year's pixel Prague moved from blue to pink and purple.

We rebuilt the app around search. One field finds a field of study, a school or a city district, and filters narrow the choice by tuition, presence at the fair, district and specific fields. The home screen gained the fair programme and a profiling test.

The website speaks the same language: who the fair helps, which schools you will find there, when and where it takes place and where to get the app.

scholapragensis.online: the homepage, the page for visitors and the opening hours with the venue.

The website for visitors

The manual: pixel, but native

For the 31st edition we wrote a new design manual. The pixel design goes another step further, and on the UX side native components and interactions carry more weight. Headings stay in the pixel font Press Start 2P, longer texts such as school names and descriptions run in the phone's system font.

The splash screen: once the app starts, the logo extrudes into space in 21 keyframes.

The app: from search to school

The home screen, school categories, the programme in the halls, search with filters and a school profile with a gallery and open days. The applicant's whole journey in one app.

The applicant's flow: from the home screen through search and filters to the profile of a specific school.

Programme and test right on the home screen

Under the logo and the pixel Congress Centre wait search, the fair programme and a profiling test that helps find a field of study. Further down come the school categories, from grammar schools to conservatories.

School search results with a photo or logo, the city district and the Exhibiting label

Search across fields and places

One field for a field of study, a school or a city district. The results show the school's photo or logo, its short name, the district and above all whether it exhibits at the fair.

Search filters: tuition, exhibiting, city district and a list of fields of study with codes

Filters that know Prague

Tuition yes or no, exhibiting schools only, city district from 1 to 22 and fields by code or name. The choice narrows down to the schools that make sense.

Pixel Prague in pink

The pixel logo, the Prague skyline and the hard button shadows stayed from last year; the colour world in pink and purple is new. The website runs on WordPress with Breakdance and on a phone keeps the same atmosphere as the app.
